Imaging Core Facility

Overview of Services

The Cell Imaging Core Laboratory is committed to excellence in research and education. We provide expert technical assistance and instrumentation in support of investigators. The Core also educates graduate students in the basic principles of imaging. The core is directed by Dr. Graydon Gonsalvez. Daily operations and maintenance are the responsibility of Dr. Xuezhi (Rachel) Cui.

Please cite or acknowledge the use of Imaging Core Facility (RRID: SCR_026799) in your publications!

Research Resource Identifiers (#RRID) are ID numbers assigned to help authors identify all key biological resources including core facilities, support the proper citation and authentication of each resource, and enable the FAIR sharing of resource information. RRIDs are part of the MDAR checklist, a pan-publisher rigor and transparency checklist created and endorsed by major publishers. RRIDs are also part of the NISO JATS standard, the journal article tagging suite.

The Cell Imaging Core Laboratory is located in CB-2309 and has the following research capabilities:

Multiphoton Microscopy/Confocal Microscopy

Digital Light Microscopy
Deconvolution
Quantitative Analysis
Image Enhancement
3D Reconstruction

User Consultations
Investigators are encouraged to consult with the director and staff to address technical questions.

User Training
The sophistication of the instrumentation requires that investigators who expect to use the equipment receive training. Additional technical assistance will be available as needed to support use of the instruments.

Leadership

Graydon Gonsalvez, Director of Facility
